    Podcasting

Podcasting is becoming an increasingly popular way to enjoy audio-based media. My involvement in podcasting has been great fun. Whether it’s editing, recording, interviewing or planning, podcasting is enjoyable every step of the way.

Quality is important when it comes to podcasting. Quality of presenting, quality of audio, quality of the edit… it is all necessary when differentiating between something worth people’s ears, and something will not interest them.

I have been involved in over 100 episodes of the Southside Broadcasting podcast. I have also created my own podcast as part of my journalism course.

  • Acting

    Acting

Acting was a really enjoyable experience, and I hope to take on new roles in the coming years. As stated in this article, I believe that autistic women are natural actresses due to the habit of masking. That’s not to say I feel I am at a disadvantage. Measuring my facial expressions, body language, and tone are all necessary tasks for acting.

Directing, writing and acting is a great trinity to learn together; it helps someone understand how creating a character works.

Additionally, through working on radio and podcasts, I understand the importance of using voice to convey emotion and information. I believe that clear communication is paramount to any field. Of course, acting can take a more nuanced approach with communication. This is because the things unsaid on camera are just as important as the things said.
